Halfway Station on the Great Orme Tramway, Llandudno. Originally just a small stone shed to store the tram in when out of service, it was expanded and rebuilt with Lottery money in 2001. I like the contrast between the sunny Great Orme and cloudy Llandudno behind.

A very disused looking Llanrwst North Station, Llanrwst, North Wales...but it's actually still in use today, albeit only as a request stop. Built as the terminus of the Conwy Valley line, hence the grand architecture. The Station buildings have not seen use for many years but are apparently currently 'To Let'. A newer station was opened in the centre of Llanrwst some years ago and this serves as the town's main Station these days.

It may look mediaeval but it was, in fact, built in 1936 as the Palace Cinema by the renowned local architect Colwyn Foulkes. Its use as a cinema finally ended in the early 1990s, when it became a Bingo hall. The first floor was opened a couple of years ago as the 'Theatre Bistro' Restaurant and the owners found a large quantity of cinema related items, including two old film projectors and lots of old posters, stored up there when they first took it over. The restaurant is now called 'Amelies' and I believe it is very good!

The Llandudno and Colwyn Bay Tramway Society with their replica tram No7 on display at Rhos Promenade, as part of its run along the original route of the Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Electric Railway.
